On April 1, 2025, we celebrated the launch of The Gate of Memory with readings from eight of the anthology poets (Cathlin Goulding, Michael Ishii, Mia Ayumi Malhotra, Emily Mitamura, Paulette “Tkl’ Un Yeik” Moreno, Carolyn Nakagawa, Michael Prior, and Annie Yukie Watanabe), featuring a greeting by special guest, poet Mitsuye Yamada. The event opened with music by anthology contributor Patrick Shiroishi, and ended with a message from Michael Ishii about the important/imperative work of Tsuru for Solidarity.
